I’ve never bootlegged anything before and I am a little nervous about this. This is a tape I found from about 17 years ago when I worked for Prince. It is the original version of Kate Bush’s song Why Should I Love You prior to the “collaboration” between Prince and Kate on the song. It is much, much better than what ended up on the album.

I should add that this is a mix I did from the multi-track tape that Kate sent. I pulled this off of a cassette tape that was rotting away at the bottom of a big box of old tapes.

I have a copy of the MP3 on my MP3 demo page: dongrays.com/kate-bush/mp3 (in case he takes his down).

For me, I like this better than the version on TRS although the syncopated strange free flowing time change at 0m46s and 2m17s threw me a bit, but it's great, and it's great to hear something "new" (even if 17 years old).

I'll have the lyrics on my page, soon.
